Joh. Winklhofer Beteiligungs GmbH & Co. KG is to be renamed as iwis SE & Co. KG.
The Munich-based, family-owned company is adapting its structures under corporate law both internally and externally as a response to the growth of the past years. The current management company, Joh. Winklhofer Beteiligungs GmbH & Co. KG, is to become iwis SE & Co. KG. Its activities as a service provider for the Group will remain unchanged.
iwis will thus be transitioning to the company form SE under European law. This will be achieved by replacing the personally liable partner of Joh. Winklhofer Beteiligungs GmbH & Co. KG. Contacta Antriebstechnik GmbH was replaced by the iwis Geschäftsführungs SE.
The Management Board of iwis SE & Co. KG will be made up of Uwe Kastner (CFO) and Johannes Winklhofer (CEO). Long-time chair of the advisory board Dr. Gerd Sachs will become the chair of the Supervisory Board.

Virtually all car manufacturers throughout the world are supplied with a total of 60,000 systems each day from plants in Munich, Landsberg, Pinghu and Murray. Founded in 1916, the company is now managed by Johannes Winklhofer, the fourth generation of his family to do so. iwis employs almost 2,000 people worldwide and has set itself the goal of achieving sales of around 430 million euros in 2021. Besides its production plants in Germany (Munich, Landsberg, Wilnsdorf, Sontra, Kaufbeuren and Rieden) and in the Czech Republic, China, the USA and Romania, it has subsidiaries in various European and overseas countries, including Brazil, Canada, France, India, Italy, Japan, Korea, South Africa, Switzerland, Turkey and the UK. iwis is represented at a total of 45 locations worldwide.
