iwis drive systems, LLC plans to invest $15.1 million into a new 100,000 square foot facility located at 3581 S 450 E IN, Whitestown, located just 20 minutes’ drive from Indianapolis. Whitestown, which resides in Boone County, is home to 10,000 residents.

A ceremonial groundbreaking event was held on May 18th with honored guests from the city and the town’s leadership council.

“Whitestown is an expanding and developing business community, and a perfect location for iwis to prosper and grow in the future. Everyone from Whitestown has made it easy to execute our building program. We look forward to many years of success operating from our Whitestown location,” said Glenn Walters, CEO of iwis.

The Whitestown facility will provide the resources necessary to achieve a 2030 sales target of $130 million. Sales growth will also drive an expansion in iwis’s capabilities as further localization goals are realized. iwis’s pledge to create 20+ new jobs provides further excitement for the city of Whitestown and Boone County. “Today’s announcement is more proof that Boone County is a desirable place to do business,” said Molly Whitehead, Boone EDC Executive Director. “We’re excited to add more growth into our already robust ag/food sector and in our local, international presence.” The finish date for this project is set for May 2023. Upon the building’s completion, iwis drive systems, LLC will cement its permanent residency in Indiana with room for future expansion to meet a growing need for iwis’s chains, sprockets, and related products.
