Our Culture. Our Compass.

Our culture connects people, locations and teams around the world. It provides guidance in our daily work, supports us in making decisions, and shapes the way we collaborate.

We build on a strong foundation: the values and principles that have shaped iwis for generations. At the same time, we continue to develop our culture to ensure it meets the needs of our company, our employees and our customers.

Our philosophy provides a common framework. It describes what we stand for, how we work together and how we take responsibility.

A Culture that Guides us

Together, the core philosophies shape our corporate culture and give it a clear direction. They provide clarity on how we act, make decisions and shape the way we work together. They represent our commitment to acting with quality, responsibility, courage to progress and a clear focus on the future.

Our Roots: The Ten Golden Rules

The “Ten Golden Rules for People Striding Ahead” form the origins of our corporate culture. They were formulated as early as 1895 by company founder Johann Baptist Winklhofer (1859–1949) and continue to guide our understanding of responsibility, progress and entrepreneurial action to this day.

They connect our heritage with our forward-looking perspective and provide direction for the values and principles that continue to guide us today.

People, Responsibility and Culture in Our Daily Work

Our culture is shaped by the people who bring it to life every day. It combines individual strengths with common goals, creating the basis for collaboration, development and long-term success.

As a family-owned company, we take responsibility for our employees and foster an environment that supports personal development, health, safety and a strong sense of community.

We see social responsibility not as a one-off initiative, but as an integral part of our corporate culture and our daily actions.

Our People Drive our Success

At iwis, it is our people who make the difference. With their knowledge, commitment and collaboration, they contribute to the success of our company every day.

That is why we create a working environment characterized by trust, appreciation and open dialogue. A culture in which ideas are welcome, responsibility is embraced and development is possible.

Room to Grow

We support the personal and professional development of our employees and create opportunities for them to realize their potential. After all, new knowledge, different perspectives and continuous learning are essential prerequisites for innovation and progress.

Our Gerhard Winklhofer Bildungswerk e.V. supports this development with a comprehensive range of training and development opportunities. Find out more here
