MEGAlife Roller chains
MEGAlife – long service life, low maintenance requirements, reliable performance.
MEGAlife low-maintenance roller and conveyor chains are designed for demanding applications where long service life and low maintenance requirements are essential. Depending on the operating conditions, they can achieve up to three times the service life of standard roller chains. This enables longer replacement intervals and can help reduce maintenance-related downtime and operating costs.
The special MEGAlife joint design requires no additional relubrication over the intended product life cycle. The dry chain surface also reduces the risk of contamination from escaping lubricant. High wear resistance and improved corrosion protection make MEGAlife a high-performance solution, particularly for applications where relubrication is not possible or is only possible to a limited extent.

MEGAlife: the low-maintenance iwis generation
MEGAlife low-maintenance roller and conveyor chains from iwis are designed for demanding applications with high requirements for service life, reliability and low maintenance. Thanks to the special MEGAlife joint design, no additional relubrication is required over the intended product life cycle. The dry chain surface also reduces the risk of contamination from escaping lubricant.
MEGAlife chains are particularly suitable for machinery and conveyor systems where relubrication is not possible or is only possible to a limited extent. They are used in a wide range of industries, including the packaging and food industries, conveyor technology, printing and paper industries, textile industry, electronics and PCB manufacturing, wood, glass and ceramics processing, as well as medical technology.
Maintenance-free chains are supplied either dry or ready-treated with special-purpose lubricant, depending on application. The roller chains have a seamless sintered bush made of a material specially developed for this application, which is hardened and treated to optimize its tribological properties. The pin has a wear-resistant, friction-optimized coating, and the surface of the seamless roller is corrosion- and wear-resistant.
