ElektroG3 Take-back Concept
Declaration
As a manufacturer registered with Stiftung EAR, we declare that return options have been set up that meet the requirements of § 19 paragraph 1 sentence 1 ElektroG3.
Process according to ElektroG3
The procedure officially enters into force on 01.01.2022 and, in the case of already registered products, starting 01.07.2022.
Marking devices
All standard device labels contain the required device identification information as well as the new marking of the crossed-out bin symbol.
In addition, the date of device provision is stored.
Description Date format of the label
The date shown on the device label corresponds to the device provisioning date. This is the decision criterion for assessing a historical device (see ElektroG3). The image is simply encrypted.
The format is:
P/D: JJWWT
P/D Product/Date
JJ: Year
WW: Weeks 1 to 52
T: Day 1 to 5. (1 is Monday, 5 is Friday)
General Note Document / Package leaflet
The device packaging or shipping packaging is accompanied by a package leaflet to comply with the obligation to provide information.
Take-back system procedure
Registration
Register your old device by e-mail at [email protected] for return, stating the model, article and serial number with the keyword "WEEE return".
The device becomes the property of iwis antriebssysteme GmbH & Co. KG for professional handling.
The return is at the expense of the sender. There are no costs for the disposal of old equipment for the sender. (Exception: "Historical devices", please check ElektroG3).

Note on self-responsibility for sensitive or personal datav
Remove your sensitive or personal information from end users before sending it for disposal.
In accordance with the provisions of the law, you as a consumer and user of the old device are responsible for the deletion of personal (or sensitive) data.
iwis antriebssysteme GmbH & Co.KG assumes no warranty or guarantee for the destruction of the data contained on the device.
Explanation of garbage can symbol

'The symbol of the crossed-out bin indicates that, at the end of its life, this electrical or electronic equipment must not be disposed of with household waste but must be collected separately by the end-user. ....
If the old electrical or electronic equipment contains personal data, you are responsible for deleting it yourself before returning it. If this is possible without destroying the old electrical or electronic equipment, please remove old batteries or accumulators ... before returning it for disposal and send them to a separate collection. Garbage Can Symbol Device
The garbage can symbol for the device is crossed out and underlined with a black bar. This symbol is affixed to the device label.
The disposal of the old equipment must be carried out by taking it back or fed into a certified primary treatment plant on one's own responsibility.
A disposal of the old equipment via household waste (municipal waste) is not permitted!
Transfer of property for disposal
Upon acceptance of the return offer by the customer or by the end user or the owner of the device by means of advance notification or accompanying letter and the free sending of the old device (transfer), ownership of the item sent shall pass to iwis antriebssysteme GmbH & Co.KG free of charge (with the exception of historical equipment) and without further contractual documents.
With the arrival of the old equipment based on the take-back, the path to the disposal of old equipment has started. iwis antriebssysteme GmbH & Co.KG has been commissioned to dispose of your old equipment in a professional manner.
A later legal claim to the device or rescission claims by the sender does not exist.

In accordance with the requirements, iwis antriebssysteme GmbH & Co.KG reports the return and proper disposal anonymously with the annual report to the EAR foundation.
