MULTI.PRESS – The professional chain breaking tool for roller chains and conveyor chains

Separating, assembling and riveting – efficient, safe and precise.

The MULTI.PRESS from iwis is a stationary hydraulic chain breaking tool designed for professional use in workshops and maintenance operations. Thanks to its robust construction, high pressing force of up to 700 bar, and modular tool sets, roller and leaf chains can be processed reliably and in a material-friendly manner – either stationary or mobile directly at the installation site.

Technical highlights at a glance:

  • Hydraulic chain breaking tool for roller and conveyor chains

  • Chain sizes from ½" to 2" (ANSI & ISO)

  • Suitable for stationary and mobile use

  • High level of operational safety thanks to fully enclosed protective housing

  • Modular configuration for maximum flexibility

Maximum precision in separating, assembling and riveting

The MULTI.PRESS separates chains by controlled pressing out of the chain pins. For chain sizes up to 20B / ANSI 100, both pins are removed in a single stroke – fast and efficient. Larger sizes are processed individually with appropriately adjusted pressing force to protect both the material and the tool.

Thanks to precisely matched iwis tool sets, chains can then be safely assembled and riveted using iwis connecting links. The result: reproducible quality, reduced downtime and professional results – even with frequent use.

User benefits

  • Consistently high quality throughout the entire service life

  • Gentle processing of the chain

  • Time savings in maintenance and assembly

  • Ideal for both series production and individual applications

  • No sparks caused by grinding off rivet heads prior to separation – improving fire safety

  • Integrated protective housing for both vertical and horizontal operation

  • Controlled pin removal, even for inexperienced personnel – no hammer or punch required

Flexible operation – stationary or directly on-site

In contrast to many stationary chain breaking tools, the MULTI.PRESS also offers an additional mobile unit. This enables horizontal operation directly at the machine or system – a decisive advantage in maintenance applications.

The newly integrated chain table ensures secure support for different chain sizes during horizontal operation. The infinitely adjustable table height and the tool-free quick-release mechanism of the hydraulic cylinder significantly enhance ergonomics and reduce setup time.

In addition, three hydraulic pump variants are available:

  • Hydraulic hand pump for occasional use
  • Pneumatic-hydraulic pump for comfortable and powerful operation
  • Electric-hydraulic pump for effortless operation and maximum flexibility
