iwis smart connect has received the "Bavarian Best 50" award. The Bavarian state government awards the prize to the 50 fastest-growing SMEs that are firmly committed to their location in Bavaria and have seen above-average growth in both sales and the size of the workforce in recent years. The award ceremony took place on the 22nd of July in Schleißheim Palace. iwis smart connect is active in the fields of high-precision stamping and bending technology, in particular in the area of electrical connection technology, press-fit technology, IDC insulation displacement connectors and MCS contact technology.
iwis employs 1400 staff in Bavaria, spread over the production plants in Munich, Landsberg, Kaufbeuren and Rieden. Considerable investment and innovations with new products and process technologies have allowed the company to make a contribution to strengthening Bavaria and Germany as a business location in recent years.
