Sustainability at iwis

Sustainability is firmly embedded in the iwis agenda as a key component of our future-oriented corporate management.

Our sustainability management strives to achieve a clear goal: sustainable organizational development that integrates social, ecological and economic goals. At the same time, we contribute to the sustainable development of the economy and society.

.

As a leading global technology company in various industries, we offer our customers and business partners sustainable solutions. Our focus is on overcoming future challenges together, with sustainable action at the heart of our corporate activities.

UN Global Compact

Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

Our business activities, operational processes and decisions are based on economic, ecological and social considerations. In particular, we support the achievement of the 17 UN sustainability goals with our activities.

ESG Directive

We are aware of our fundamental responsibility towards people and the environment and establish a culture of integrity to ensure long-term success. We also expect our suppliers to recognize these principles and requirements and to implement them in their activities in order to master the challenges of the future together.

The Sustainability Policy applies internally to the iwis Group and to all natural and legal persons who sell or provide products, processes or services to iwis. Either directly or via affiliated companies, distributors, subcontractors or agents.

Sustainability reporting

In order to provide stakeholders such as customers, investors and the community with a comprehensive insight into iwis' sustainable practices, we systematically record, evaluate and disclose environmental, social and economic measures and information. This is done through various channels.

EcoVadis

All iwis sites are evaluated by external experts on the EcoVadis platform. The main iwis production plants have repeatedly been awarded EcoVadis medals. Certificates and further information on the EcoVadis sustainability performance reports can be found in Downloads .

Corporate Carbon Footprint and Climate Strategy „ZeroCarbon 2040“

As a leading manufacturing company, iwis also pursues the clear goal of keeping the environmental impact of its business activities as low as possible. The company attaches particular importance to minimizing its own carbon footprint. The iwis climate strategy ZeroCarbon 2040 as part of the iwis sustainability transformation means taking robust sustainable steps to achieve the targets.

IntegrityNext

Through our activities on the IntegrityNext platform, we have the opportunity to work with our suppliers to improve the sustainability of our supply chain. iwis is actively committed to responsible business practices along the entire supply chain, as these represent a key lever on the path to a sustainable economy.

Sustainability Report and CSRD

The Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) is a new directive that obliges companies to report comprehensively on their environmental, social, anti-corruption and human rights activities. As a result of this new EU legislation, iwis is also obliged to report regularly on its environmental and social initiatives.

iwis is actively preparing for CSRD reporting by gradually establishing internal structures, collecting and processing information and finally publishing it in accordance with legal requirements.

Once the preparatory phase has been completed and all necessary measures have been taken, iwis' sustainability reports will be published in accordance with CSRD from 2026. To our current sustainability report.
